Simulations of Black Hole Accretion, Jets, and Outflows

Alexander Tchekhovskoy

Darwin 103
4:00 PM

Black holes devour stars, eject relativistic jets, affect star formation and galaxy evolution, and enrich the Universe with heavy elements. Alexander Tchekhovskoy will discuss the various astrophysical manifestations of black holes and how state-of-the-art numerical simulations help us to reveal their physics.
