The B.S. in Physics Returns to Sonoma State University!

Sonoma State University is proud to re-launch its Bachelor of Science in Physics, featuring a redesigned, student-centered curriculum available beginning Fall 2026. The revised program offers a rigorous physics foundation, small class sizes, close faculty mentorship, and flexible pathways that support timely graduation. Physics and Astronomy Class of 2023

Graduates receive the Department’s annual newsletter and, if they wish, announcements of the What Physicists Do public lecture series and of Public Viewing Nights at the SSU Observatory. If you are one of our graduates with whom we have lost contact, please send updates, especially information as to how we may contact you.

One of our traditions is a picture of the physics students taking part in Commencement ceremonies each year. Some of these are now available here ("f" means with faculty).
