What Physicists Do

The Department of Physics and Astronomy has presented the "What Physicists Do" series each semester since Spring 1971. The entire history of the series may be browsed or searched, and please feel free to peruse our many Award-Winning Speakers of the series. The more than 1000 speakers have included fifteen Nobel Prize recipients, three Crafoord Prize recipients, ten recipients of the National Medal of Science, nine MacArthur Fellows, eight Bruce Medalists, and a great many other outstanding scientists, professors, and engineers.

Public Viewing Night

Everyone is invited to view the skies through the telescopes of the SSU Teaching Observatory at these monthly events.
