Low Cost Manufacturing of High Quality Solar Grade Silicon for Photovoltaics

Photovoltaics require a lower purity of silicon material than is used in the semiconductor industry, however to date nobody has been able to provide the required purity at a reasonable price. Dr. Bill Imler, from Squirrel Hill Associates, will describe a novel process to produce high-quality silicon optimized for photovoltaic applications, at extremely low cost.
