Society of Physics Students (SPS) at SSU
The goals of the Society of Physics Students at Sonoma State University are to promote interest and excitement about physics and astronomy for its members and all others. Its members participate in many different types of activities such as promoting physics by offering tutoring to fellow students or having fun camping. During the April 25th, 2009 retirement party for Professors Tenn and Hichwa, our chapter of Sigma Pi Sigma was installed. Patrick Brown ('08), Adam Dye ('09), Katherine Wyman ('09), and Bradley Yearwood ('09) are among the first to be inducted into this Society for their outstanding academic performance, scholarship activities, and dedication to serving the community. As the advisor of the student club back then, Dr. Hongtao Shi was also inducted. Thanks to Prof. Hichwa for being the Installing Officer and congratulations to all inductees!
