Homework Assignments
Observing assignment Submit a one-page, typed account of your experience observing with a telescope during the semester. Include the date, time, place, a description of the telescope(s) and what you observed. You may do so at one of our class private viewing sessions, one of the Public Viewing Nights scheduled monthly at the SSU Observatory, or elsewhere. Off campus, there are observing opportunities at the Robert H. Ferguson Observatory and several other places which can be found via The Astronomy Connection, the Astronomical Association of Northern California, or the Sonoma County Astronomical Society. This assignment is due one week after you make your observations, but no later than the last day of classes. Check spelling of astronomical terms by looking them up in your text or on the web.
If you send this to me as an e-mail enclosure, you must title the enclosure "A100OBSyourlastname.doc" where "doc" may be replaced by "rtf" or "pdf' depending on the format. Be sure your name is also inside the document. Also, please include "A100" and your last name in the title of any e-mail messages you send to me regarding this course.
